Daven founded the Colorado Stixx fastpitch organization is 2003 and continued coaching the Stixx through the 2006 season. The opportunity to coach in the Stampede organization was a tough decision, but with the success of the Stampede over the last several years, it was a necessary step to draw talented players that could compete nationally.
Since 1993, Daven has given over 17,000 private baseball and softball lessons, conducted over 40 camps and 150 clinics across the country. With the success of the Scout Team, The Yard has seen over 300 players go on to play college baseball and numerous players sign professional contracts. The Stampede is also devoted to exposing softball players to college programs and to give each player options when they graduate from H.S.
Daven resides in Lakewood with his wife Tawna and daughter, Megan, who attends Columbine H.S.
