2008 TOURNAMENTS November 2nd-4th, 2007- Batbusters Fall Showcase, Huntington Beach, California What an awesome way to start the "new" season! This is the first time we have been together as a team with the new group of players and California was the perfect setting. After one indoor practice, we headed off to the Batbuster's tournament. This was a National Showcase and attended by hundreds of college coaches. We had 5 scheduled games vs. 18U Gold teams and the Stampede played very well all weekend. We had some solid individual performances and got to know each other over the weekend. 35 innings later, we learned a lot about our team and have a lot to be excited about. Friday was our "beach" day and the girls swam with the surfers and seals! Although they were the only ones in the water without wetsuits, they had a blast. We hit the Downtown Disney and the ESPN Zone on Friday night. We will take a few weeks off before hitting it hard in January. I am so excited for the upcoming season. This is a hardworking, dedicated group of young ladies and I couldn't be happier. State Playoff note: The Colorado Stampede had 9 of the 12 players compete in the State High School playoffs this year and numerous end of year awards that are listed on individual profile pages.
